• Shortly after World War II,
  American soldiers stationed in Japan at the Yokosuka U.S. Military Base made commemorative embroidery designs with oriental patterns and the emblems of the units and bases
  they belonged to at a tailor shop. This is said to be the origin of ``Skajan''. The surface depicts a festival dedicated to power looms , which is said to ensure that high-quality denim can be woven throughout the year . The detailed embroidery depicts Indy and Clipper wearing happi coats carrying a mikoshi . The back side is a landscape painting with a vintage Sukajan motif. Pay attention to the elegant Indie and Clipper kimonos!
